Canva, a marketing planner, and a CRM: what each needs to do

Map design, campaign planning, contact records, and communication to the right tools. Understand where REMC helps and which responsibilities remain separate.

One invitation involves several different jobs

An open house needs an invitation, a preparation schedule, visitor requests, and follow-through. Editing the invitation does not complete the other jobs. Separate them before expecting one subscription to do everything.

This is a workflow comparison written by REMC’s vendor, not an independent ranking of Canva or CRM products. Category descriptions are requirements to check, not claims that every product has the same features.

    Use a responsibility map

Choose a primary place for each record. When information appears twice, decide who updates it and how. No automatic synchronization between REMC, Canva, or any CRM is claimed here.

What Canva templates add to REMC

REMC Free provides eligible assets from the Open House campaign and your one claimed social calendar month. Premium provides the full published library and ongoing monthly calendars. Canva templates require a separate Canva account to customize. Some assets can require Canva Pro or a separate license; check before using a design.

Template access does not mean ownership of every included asset or unrestricted redistribution rights. Check applicable terms. The public SVG invitation is a separate downloadable file, not a Canva integration.

    Can REMC replace a CRM?

REMC has lead organization, stages, notes, activity history, and dated next actions. These support a straightforward personal follow-up process. They do not establish that REMC replaces the CRM workflow you already use.

List what you would otherwise lose: relationship history, team responsibilities, reporting, communication, transaction work, or connections to other systems. Check each against a demonstrated capability. If it is not documented or demonstrated, treat it as unverified and keep the appropriate existing tool.

If you retain a CRM, choose where completed follow-up and future actions are recorded. Do not assume automatic synchronization.

Worked handoff: design, plan, capture, act

In a fictional event, an agent edits an approved invitation, adds campaign preparation dates, and publishes through their own channel. A visitor uses browser sign-in and requests a floor plan. The agent records “send approved floor plan Monday,” sends it through their email tool, and records completion.

The design file, task, visitor record, and sent message are separate outputs. Check you can locate each. No automatic posting, email delivery, CRM synchronization, or appointment booking is implied.

    • Design: approved invitation ready to use.
    • Planning: dated event preparation tasks.
    • Capture: submitted record and factual request.
    • Action: message sent manually and completion recorded.
